Woodend District Netball Club is a welcoming, volunteer-run organisation, that supports young people to get involved in netball in the Macedon Ranges.
Its players are aged from 5 to 16 years, and coaches, parents and committee members play an integral role.

Why Netball?
Netball is a great sport because it combines elements of physical exertion, teamwork, and strategy. It requires players to be agile, fast, and able to jump high to reach for the ball.
It emphasises the importance of working together as a team, as players must pass the ball to each other and coordinate their movements on the court to outmanoeuvre their opponents.
Netball also requires players to think critically and make split-second decisions, making it a mentally stimulating sport as well. Additionally, the sport can be played by people of all ages and abilities, making it a great way to stay active and have fun.

Friday Night Summer Season 2024
We run our own summer netball competition on Friday nights at Buffalo Stadium.
Age categories for ages 7 to 16, from 6 October for an nine week season that ends on 1 December 2023.
Registrations for this competition are FULL please email by clicking below to be added to the waiting list.
Winter Season 2024
We enter teams in the winter season competition run by MRNA, for ages 7 to 18, played every Saturday in New Gisborne. Registrations are currently closed.
NetSetGo Program
We run a NetSetGO program for 5 to 10 year olds who want to learn the basic skills of netball in a fun, social and supportive environment. Registrations are currently closed.
