About Us
Woodend District Netball Club is an incorporated, volunteer-run sporting organisation for junior players aged 5–17, based in Woodend, Victoria. We have more than 150 members, including players, coaches, and dedicated volunteers. Our focus is on building strong, confident young people through participation in netball and fostering a positive, inclusive club community.
Mid-week training is held during Terms 1–3 at the outdoor netball courts at Buffalo Sports Stadium in Woodend. Saturday competition games during Terms 2–3 are played through the Macedon Ranges Netball Association in New Gisborne. Our Twilight Competition (Term 4) and NetSetGO program (held at various times throughout the year) are played at the outdoor netball courts at Buffalo Sports Stadium.

Our Partners
Netball Victoria - We work with Netball Victoria to run our competitions, register players and volunteers, and ensure players are insured for on-court injuries.
Netball Australia - We run programs developed by Netball Australia, including the NetSetGO program for 5 to 10 year olds.
The Macedon Ranges Netball Association (MRNA) MRNA runs the winter season competition that our club enter teams into each year. This is played at the MRNA Courts in New Gisborne on Saturday mornings during Term 2 and Term 3 (April - September).

Our Volunteers
Our club is proudly built on the dedication of volunteers who make everything we do possible. From parents, grandparents, family members, and friends to past players and community members, our volunteers generously give their time to support our players and our club.
Our volunteers take on many important roles, including coaching, assistant coaching, team management, umpiring, scoring, first aid, committee positions, fundraising, event coordination, and game day support. Every volunteer plays an important part in creating a safe, welcoming, and enjoyable environment for all our players, ensuring everyone has the opportunity to participate, develop their skills, and enjoy the game of netball.
We are incredibly grateful for the time, commitment, and passion our volunteers contribute. Their support strengthens our club, builds a strong sense of community, and helps create positive experiences for players and families alike.
