2026 Twilight Season Competition

When: Fridays during Term 4 (2026), commencing 9th Oct 2026.

Duration: 9 weeks (09/10/2026 - 04/12/2026).

Where: Buffalo Stadium Outdoor Netball Courts, Woodend

(Note: Depending on numbers, some games may also need to be played at Gilbert Gordon Oval outdoor netball courts, Woodend)

Times:

  • U9s: 4:10pm start

  • U12s: 5:00pm start

  • U17s: 5:50pm start

Please arrive at least 10 mins before your game time.

Game Duration: 40 mins.

Cost:

  • $90 for 2026 Netball Vic Members

  • $163 for Non Netball Vic Members (price includes a 2026 Netball Vic Membership)

Age Groups: This is a mixed competition, open to both girls and boys.

  • U9 (Mixed) (Born 01/01/17 - 31/12/18)

  • U12 (Mixed) (Born 01/01/14 - 31/12/16)

  • U17 (Mixed) (Born 01/01/09 - 31/12/13)

Uniform:

  • White t-shirt

  • Shorts or leggings (any colour, no pockets)

  • Socks (any colour)

  • No jewellery (unless securely taped)

  • Nails must be trimmed

Team Allocation:

  • WDNC will allocate players to teams.

  • U12 and U17 team lists will be emailed 1 week BEFORE the season starts.

  • U9 teams will be finalised AFTER Week 1, with the first week being an introductory session that includes practice matches.

Weather Policy: For cancellations, please visit our Facebook page. Updates are typically posted at least 1 hour before game time.

Team Manager & Scorer: Each team is responsible for assigning a Team Manager and Scorer. Teams can decide whether to rotate these roles or assign individuals for the entire season.

  • Team Manager: Assigns player positions and distributes bibs.

  • Scorer: Keeps score and assists the Team Manager if required.

Additional Information:

  • There are no training sessions for this competition.

  • We highly recommend players new to the game have participated in the NetSetGo program (for ages 5-10) prior to registering for this competition. We will be running a NetSetGo program in Term 4 (2026) so players can register for both the NetSetGo program and Twilight Competition.

  • WhatsApp groups will be set up after teams have been finalised.

How to Register

Please register ASAP as this competition fills up quickly. We have a limit of 4 teams per age group.

  1. Click link and enter your Netball Connect log-in details

  2. Select actions/register

  3. Select participant

  4. Enter details and click next

  5. Under ‘Find a competition’ enter 3442 (Woodend postcode) and click ‘Search’

  6. In the drop-down box go to the bottom and select ‘WOODEND DISTRICT (MRNA)’

  7. Scroll down and select ‘WDNC Twilight Season Competition 2026’

  8. Check the box marked ‘Player Membership - Junior Player’

  9. Select age group (only one option should appear)

  10. Enter your favourite 2 playing positions

  11. Click Add ‘Competition and Membership’

  12. Complete the additional information

  13. Agree to terms and conditions

  14. Enter payment details and click ‘Submit’.
